We employ several time proven strategies for soliciting W/WBE subcontractor and supplier firm participation.

  • Make construction plans and specifications available for review by perspective minority businesses.
  • Package, break down or combine elements of work into economically feasible units to facilitate minority participation.
  • Work with community and contractor organizations that provide assistance in recruitment of minority businesses.
  • Provide assistance in acquiring bonding or insurance requirements.
  • Provide assistance to minority businesses in acquiring loans, equipment, lines of credit or joint pay agreements.
  • Assist minority subcontractors in obtaining the same unit pricing from suppliers as other subcontractors receive.
  • Negotiate joint venture and partnership arrangements to increase minority business participation.
  • Provide quick pay agreements and policies to enable minority contractors and suppliers to meet cash-flow demands.
